LIA Recalibration Routines

These routines are designed to allow the user to recalibrate the data reprocessed using the interactive routines, or to make a complete non-interactive reprocessing using defaults other than those used by the automatic OLP.

SHORT_AAL (for Grating data only): utilitity to recalibrate an L01 or L02 observation. It essentially performs wavelength and flux calibration using interactively reprocessed data (see above) as input. It can also perform a general reprocessing (without using the interactve routines) using default settings which are different from those used by the OLP. The /fglitch keyword allows you to include data following glitches in the output LSAN file. The /noabs keyword allows you to switch off the absolute responsivity correction altogether. There are a number of keywords which need to be used when calling SHORT_AAL depending on which of the interactive routines have previously been used. The following table summarizes all the possible combinations:

FP_PROC (for FP data only, same routine as in interactive class): utilitity to recalibrate an L03 or L04 observation.
It essentially performs wavelength and flux calibration using interactively reprocessed data (see above) as input. It can also perform general reprocessing (without using the interactve routines) using default settings which are different from those used by the OLP. It also allows interactive manipulation of the data (for this reason FP_PROC also belongs to the interactive class of routines). For LIA 10 FP_PROC has been extensively modified to include non-prime data, extend the grating profiles, improve the throughput coefficients and remove side-order contamination.

A number of keywords can be used when calling FP_PROC, depending on which of the interactive routines have previously been used.

In FP_PROC the absolute and response drift correction are applied by default for L03 data.

use /nodrift keyword to apply NO response drift correction whatsoever

use /newdrift to use the LSPD results from ia_drift instead

use /newabs to apply the LGIF results from ia_abscorr.

DEFRINGE : This tool is written for interactive defringing of LWS data (L01, L03 and L04).

IRASPHOT: Tool for producing IRAS synthetic photometry at 60 and 100 microns.

AUTO_AVG_ALL: Tool for automatically averaging LSAN files using the default ISAP algorithm.

CORRECT_SPECTRUM: Tool for correcting spectra for off-axis point-sources.

EXTENDED_FLUX: Tool for correcting spectra for extended-sources.

SS_CORR: Tool for applying the strong-source correction to LSPD data.
